Living Room Pharmacy Takes “Small Business of the Year” Award
Congratulations to Greg Oksanen and Jane Wareing of Living Room Pharmacy for winning the “Small Business of the Year” award at the 2017 Chamber Awards.
Greg and Jane opened Living Room Pharmacy in 2006 and have been providing excellent, caring community minded service ever since. This boutique pharmacy is unique in treating their clientele as guests rather than customers. Clients are greeted by name, they provide a cozy seating area, offer complimentary tea and coffee, dedicated parking and full wheelchair and scooter access.
As well as offering prescriptions, compounding medications, compression stockings, blood pressure monitors, therapeutic braces and they liaison with the drug insurance companies, Living Room Pharmacy is very active in the community.
Living Room Pharmacy provides free medications and supplies to the Care-A- Van program, which assists the homeless and less fortunate in the valley. As well, they regularly donate to the Comox Valley School District, is an annual contributor to the Ducks Unlimited Comox Valley Chapter and helped found the “Lose the Training Wheels” program which is dedicated to teaching kids with disabilities to learn to ride a bike without training wheels.
On top of all that they do, Greg guest speaks at different community groups about different health issues.
Again, a huge congratulations to Greg and Jane at Living Room Pharmacy for your excellence in business, community service and superior customer service!
